What kind of messages are you wanting to save? Text messages? If so, you can open the text conversation, click on the menu button (lower left) and scroll down to "save messages". You can also long press on an individual text and you will get options like "copy to sim" or "save message".
If you are looking to save like voice messages, the only way I know to do that is through Google Voice, but I don't think that is what you were asking?
it is the voice messages i was wanting to save a few important ones to disk drive as a file. i can press "9" and keep saving voice message for a period of time but thats a bit cumbersome after a few trys.
i haven't used google voice. is that linked to our verizon phone msg?
Are you subscribed to the Verizon Visual Voicemail or basic Voicemail?

i placed ann154 as providing correct answer. for what i require now that should suffice.
