need help with connection to computer

I was givin a Droid X by my son, and I tried to d/l and u/l pictures, but I have problem with my HP computer (Vista) to connnect.

I installed Motorola's Device manager but nothing seems to work.

I had the Droid X checked in a Verizon Store and all seems to work well, but with my PC it doesnt work.

Does anybody know what might be wrong and/or could help me fix it.,

Are you using the cable that came with the phone? Motorola phones are picky about their cables.

thanks tikibar1....it was a new cable with which I could even charge the droidX.....

but it was NOT a Motorola cable.

Now I can sleep again...grin
