Must visual voicemail and text functions be set up

or are they just built into the phone to work immediatley??

Hi.. don't say you are stupid. I am not familiar with Verizon's visual voice mail service. I know that with Google Voice I use visual voice mail and I had to set it up on the website to go to text/email.
