how do I get the 10-digit # from a text message so I can block it? (texts are from 065-061, 065-060, 065-019)
The texts come through without a 10-digit phone number, and you can't block the text without a 10-digit number.
Thanks.
You might try forwarding the texts to SPAM (7726) and then reply to the return text you receive from Verizon.
block premium messaging (PSMS) and they will go away
Thanks for the suggestion, but, I'm not seeing any way to forward the text to SPAM (7726)
Jax_Omen, thanks but if I do that then I won't be able to receive pics and videos from family.
Which phone are you using? Every phone should have the option to forward a text message. It is a matter of finding the exact steps to do so.

I have Premium Messages blocked through MyVerizon account and still receive pictures and videos via text message
pics/videos are multimedia messages. That's a separate block.
premium messages are the annoying "spam" messages from 4-6 digit shortcodes, usually with a $9.99 monthly fee attached.
Jax_Omen, thanks, I found where I could block just the premium messaging. We will see if that helps.

Then a long press of the individual message will get you a dialog box with several options for the message including forwarding the message.
Ann154, thanks. I received another spam text this morning. I was able to forward the text message to Verizon Spam (7726). Got a message back from Verizon "It is likely that your message came from a short code. Please return to the original message and reply STOP." Now at the end of the spam text it said to "reply BLOCK to stop this user" but I'm always hesitant to reply to a text in this manner for fear it will instigate even more spam. But, it seems like the only option at this point.
