"null" incoming SMS during roaming

I was on business trip in Europe (German, Poland) last week. I
have Driod Razr MAXX which is global phone. It was working fine except one
thing. My wife has iPhone 4S (AT&T). When she sent messages to me I always
got message with just one word “null” regardless of real content. Here in US
everything is OK and I get normal SMS from her. But in roaming I get “null”
messages. She was getting messages from me normally on roaming. So it wasn't
working in one way only. Don't know who to blame. But looks like something
wrong with Verizon messaging on international roaming.

I can imagine how problematic not receiving text messages from your wife may be while on a trip. We want to review this further to find the cause of the trouble. You advised that she has another service provider, did you try messaging with another user who also has this provider to see if it worked? You also advised it didn't matter what content was in the message, can you confirm that it was just basic text and didn't involve any emoticans or special characters? Please also confirm that she doesn't have a signature setup with her text. Was there any other Verizon users with you on the trip that she text to confirm if it was accepted on their device?
