I have a family plan 1400 mins. 3 phones 2 text message plans On the one phone I have 500 text. I noticed on Friday that the phone user was about to go over the plan allowance. I called and had the text messaging blocked for that line. The CSR said I could just call back after the bill date and unblock. I noticed today that the text messaging package I had for that line is no longer on it. I don't want to be billed for the 480+ messages that already exist on that line. The reason I blocked them is so he wouldn't go over the 500. Will I be charged for these messages already on the line? Help!

Anytime you add the text block it automatically kicks off any text package that you had. You should still be covered for any usage you had before the block was added but there is a chance it may have prorated the usage.

An alternative to just blocking the messages is to bump up the text package to the next level. The next one up from 500 is 1500 and is only $5 more.

If you do end up with an overage charge on the bill due to prorations, call customer service and they should be able to work with you on fixing the bill.
