I want the sleep mode back!

I just got the Jelly Bean 4.1.2 update on my Razr Maxx yesterday. Up until yesterday, I was using the sleep mode all the time during the day in order to conserve battery life. When I got the update and tried to put my phone in sleep mode for the first time, I noticed the sleep mode is gone. I am REALLY disappointed about this, because now I have to turn my phone all the way off during the day while I'm at work in order to conserve the battery. Is there a way the public can get their displeasures heard about the update so maybe changes can be made? I'm hoping if enough people are unhappy with the change, then maybe something will get done about it...

Contact Motorola. They are the one that modified the code for the phone.

I completely agree. After the update, sleep mode disappeared! It was extremely convenient and I would really like it back!

You could set up a Smart Action to turn everything off but the phone itself during the hours you are at work.

I totally agree. Why would they take the "sleep mode" away? It was very convenient to save battery life rather than turning the phone completely off.

Sleep mode was a mode that was in place when we had Ice Cream Sandwich, where the phone uses low power and the wireless is turned off, allowing you to save battery power while the phone is still on. The phone can be activated and used by pressing the power button and holding it for a few seconds. It was suggested to just use the power button and turn the phone off, but is not the same as sleep mode. That just puts the phone in standby mode, and the phone still uses a lot of battery power in standby mode. Sleep mode was fabulous, because when I used it during my workday I used so little battery, and my phone was still "on."

I did try setting up a Smart Action for my phone, and while it does save some battery power, the sleep mode saved a lot more!

By the way, I never got a response back from Motorola about taking away the sleep mode. Surprise, surprise...
