Galaxy S3 - unable to deselect Swype or Samsung keypoard as input keyboard

I would like to use SwiftKey as my input keyboard.

I've downloaded this app and it's available within Settings to select it, but the Samsung keyboard and the Swype options are already selected and slightly greyed out (indicating they are not available to select/deselect...see attached photo). The result is the input keyboard for text messaging, email, etc is stuck on the Samsung keyboard. The Default input keyboard can be any of the three but when it's selected as SwiftKey, the SwiftKey keyboard is not the keyboard offered. It's either the Samsung or Swype?

This all started occurring with the latest software update.

SwiftKey isn't available as a keyboard options until you set it up. Touch the gear to the right of the keyboard listing in the same screen as your photo and complete the setup. I will have to select a language, download it (over wifi) and other settings before it is ready for use.
