not able to use FORD SYNC to text message in my car

My old DROID2 I was able to use phone and text message from the car. My new new SAMSUNG G3 .. I can use the phone part .. but unable to use the text part. The error I see the device does not support messaging with bluetooth. I like being able to hear/see txts that come to me in my car. 2011 Mustang with the full screen navi. I went back to the old droid2 it will work ... but ugh.. How Can I get it to work with the new phone? Is there a fix needed?

I have unpair the device and removed it .. and added it again same issue. Bummer!

I have the same issue. I have a 2013 Dodge Dart with the Uconnect system. It supports texting using the MAP Bluetooth. The one reason I swapped my Thunderbolt was because the GS3 was supposed to have the MAP Bluetooth. Also, my son's Droid Razr M has all the bluetooth profiles and connects up fine. It is neat to be able to use the texting features while driving. I can't put in custom responses but they have 18 preinstalled ones to use while driving. It is shameful that with all the laws about texting and driving you can buy an awesome new phone and an awesome new car but they can't communicate with each other. The phone part works and the media player works but texting would be a nice addition.
