why doesn't our beloved Galaxy Nexus support Google Wallet?
The Nexus hardware does support GW. It's Verizon that doesn't allow it. Coincidentally, Verizon is test launching the competing ISIS Wallet, which also is not (yet?) compatible with the Nexus either.
I know people who are using GW on their VZW galaxy Nexus and works beautifully. I was wondering why the official OS does not support it.

Actually Ann, I tried this w/ that posted link to mediafire and others....I can't run it, it keeps wanting to update then I get the message "Your device isn't compatible w/ this version.....it worked fine for a while. Am I the only one that is blocked from using it?
Verizon, MetroPCS: Blocking apps should be legal, appeal FCC ruling | BGR
Blocking Google Wallet is just the tip of the iceberg, folks. Verizon, MetroPCS, and other carriers in the Rural Carrier Association want to reverse the FCC's earlier ruling concerning the blocking of apps on Block C spectrum, specifically tethering apps, which Verizon blatantly claimed they were NOT blocking only to magically have them reappear in the Play Store when the ruling was enacted.
Should this appeal reverse the earlier decision (which will very likely happen on a Romney administration) this well be very bad news for Net Neutrality in general, not to mention free use of Google Wallet on verizon's network.
The Block C settlement has nothing to do with Google Wallet.
is it me or is this conversation continue NOT to answer the question. I am not interested in hearing anyone back Verizon here. All I care about is that there is a perfectly good / working app out there and we, Verizon Customers, are not allowed to use it.
That is wrong.
