No, you can only read text logs on your on-line MyVerizon account.
Have you reported the phone as stolen to Verizon and the local Police?
Depending on the phone that was stolen (I don't know if it was yours or not), there's an app called 'Plan B' in the app store that may be beneficial.
Yes, the phone has been reported stolen to the police, but they are kind of slow to react. As to the text log, I have seen that and downloaded it. That is what made me think about reading the one text that they sent from the phone.

Make sure you give them the serial number of the phone, if it is taken to a pawn shop...the police may be able to recover it and prosecute the person stealing it.
