Short battery life

Just did latest software update on HTC Rhyme. phone will charge just fine, but gets very hot on docking station or with wall plug. Battery that use to last all day, now lasts 4 hours with Wi-Fi & network disabled??  When I look at battery usage it says "Display 70%" ???!!! This is without my even using the phone. Any ideas? Is it just a coincidence that this started immediately after updating software?

I'm so glad you received the recent update, but not so glad that it is overheating for you. Since the update, have you let the device die all the way down & then recharge?

It definitely seems like a problem that we need to address for you because we don't want anything to happen with the device as a result of it getting hot.

If it still gets hot, we ask that you take it as well as any chargers or batteries that you use to the closest store http://bit.ly/3SdsA for evaluation.
