Connect Network Extender to Access Point?

Hi,

I searched and could not find this so am asking. Rather than pay $200-300 to an electrician to connect an ethernet cable from one room to another, is it possible to use a wireless access point with the Samsung network extender? Thanks!

The network extender only connects to a router or ethernet switch via a ethernet cable and not wirelessly to a router or an access point.
