Wonder why?

Thought I'd post here before fb. Does anyone else wonder why Verizon's plans do NOT include one that has unlimited minutes AND NO DATA?? We recently had to upgrade due to an illness in the family and were very sad to learn that although we do not have a smart phone and have never or will never use any data, we have to pay $30 more for the unlimited minutes and an amount of data? Whats up with that?

Hi boatnik - We certainly want to offer options to meet al lof our customers needs! The lowest plan option with unlimited talk and text on a Basic Phone is $70/month and includes 500MB of data to use if you choose. For $40/month we offer 700 minutes however text would have to be added at a separate cost. I hope that the benefits of our service will make the decision to stay easier.

Have you checked out the prepaid plans available for basic phones? The $50 unlimited plan might work better for your situation.

You have to wait for your contract to be over to switch to a pre-paid. Oh well. All the more reason to just go to wally world when our contract is up and spend $45 on unlimited everything.:smileyhappy: Thanks for answering though.
