Blackberry questions and account change?

I am interested in the new blackberry tour, but want to make sure I understand how it works with various features and pricing. Any help would be awesome! :smileyhappy:

* With the $49.99 plan, it says unlimited internet, email, texting..so no data usage or "minutes" would be used?

Does it include connecting the phone to my laptop for wireless internet service, with no additional fees?

*do I still need to have a minute plan so that I can make phone calls?

Also right now I have a family plan with 3 lines. 1 line has no contract and is eligible for new phone. (though cell number is husbands)

Can I extend his contract, order the blackberry, then transfer the phone to my phone number?

I currently have the 700 min family plan for 3 lines and unlimited texting (extra) bill runs about $130 per month.

Is it better for me to take out a individual plan on the blackberr?

I have 4 lines on the family plan. Just updated my phone to my first BB. I have the $29.95 data plan. Did not have to change my family plan at all.

If you just want to get pop email (hotmail,gmail,Yahoo) then get the 29.99 data package not the $45 BES plan.

I definately want to have the $49.99 package because I want to be able to access the internet for searching.

As I understand there is an additional charge to have the tethering service (connection to my laptop)?

The minutes on my plan will NOT be affected by my access to the internet, email, etc?

There is no additional data usage fee, (for internet searching, sharing) as long as I am under the $49.99 plan?

So basicly if I stay on the family plan I am on now and add a blackberry with the $49.99 plan (for internet and email, etc) that will only be the additional fee per month (excluding taxes) that I will be charged with? I am free to use the internet, email, as much as I want for that additional service option?

The 49.99 plan is not needed unless you will be syncing your work email to your phone, otherwise stay on the family share plan you have and get the 30.00 unl data plan, which will allow all of your browsing and emails. Also to tether your phone to your computer to use the internet that is an add on plan for 30.00 more, but this is a feat that you can add and remove at any time.

Yea thats what I was saying you do not need the 45.00 plan. Save yourself 15 bucks. Unless you are syncing with Lotus notes there is no need for this package. I have the 29.99 package and I surf on and off all day, email(hotmail,gmail,yahoo) ,instant message. Its covered under the 29.99
