When I transfer a video file (.avi) to my S4 it asks me if I want to convert it or leave it and copy anyway. I have done this once successfully and now when i try it crashes my pc. what is going on?
I should say i let it convert it.
Let's get to the bottom of this cfinch! What operating system are you using on your pc? Have you tried installing a video converter application? Please share so I may further assist. Thank you. TominqueBo_VZWPlease follow us on Twitter @VZWSupport
Windows 8. the first file it asked to convert and i clicked yes and it worked fine. but now it wont. i have not installed a converter application.
cfinch,Thank you for the information.Do you still get the option to pick what you want to do with the remaining video files when you are uploading it? Does it just automatically crash when the phone is connected or when you pick to upload certain videos. We want to pinpoint any potential causes so please elaborate on when the crash issue occurs. We look forward to helping.Thank you,TonyG_VZW
The very first time I had my phone connected to my pc, I dragged a avi file
to the movie folder on the phone and it asked if i wanted to convert it, i
selected yes. it worked perfectly. a week later I chose to do the same
thing with a different avi file and it started to convert it. after a few
minutes it just crashes. I have tried different avi videos and it does the
same. I thought it might be the size of the file but it is not. the first
one was 1.6 gig, the ones i tried after were smaller then that. so it
crashes after 3 to 5 mins after it starts converting. oh and i should say
when it crashes and i try to turn on my pc again it my pc wont start up, i
have to turn on the main power at the back of the pc and then turn it on
and it will start up. Please dont say it is my pc because this only happens
when it tries to convert the file onto the S4.
