I have a Galaxy SIII that was purchased in approximately February 18th 2013. The phone work pretty well and was my favorite phone.
In approximately July, I was using my phone like any other die, browsing reddit using the application "Reddit is Fun"
I was charging the phone at a wall outlet using my normal Samsung charger, and I was at approximately 43% battery, when the phone suddenly died. It did not go through the normal shutdown animation, it simply died with no warning whatsoever. It did not respond to Recovery Mode, or Download Mode, or any attempts to turn it on
I went home and looked up the issue and it seems as though I've been afflicted by something called Sudden Death syndrome?
A very peculiar thing concerning charging however
If the battery is in the phone, and the cable is plugged in, -> phone does not charge (as in the led does not come on)
If the battery is removed after the above step, -> Charging LED comes back on
If the battery is NOT in the phone, and the cable is plugged in -> phone charging led comes on
If Battery is reinserted after the above occurs -> phone charging led remains
Please could you assist me in solving this problem?
