no WiFi icon in notification bar

I have a samsung note 2, model#sch-1605, with the 4.1.2(no update for me either yet).

I don't have a wi-fi icon in my notification bar and there is not one in the options to add to notification bar.

Where is it? I've watched many youtube video's about the note2 and noticed their had the wifi icon.

Can someone tell me how to get this icon on my phone into the notification bar?

     I'm glad to see that you are excited to take full advantage of all that your phone has to offer. Wifi is a great way to supplement your data usage and minimize monthly wireless costs. Let's find that wifi icon for you. May I ask what software and android version do you have installed on the Note II? Have you ever had the wifi icon on the device? I would suggest putting the device in safe mode and try to us wifi to see if the icon appears. Steps on how to do so is in the link below.
