Kies sync to outlook duplicates entries

Can anyone help...please!! I have a new Samsung galaxy 3. Using Kies to sync caused my contacts and calendar entries to appear twice. I manually deleted them and everything worked great for a week, until yesterday. I had a warning about more than 50% of my calendar entries would be deleted if I continued with the sync. I backed everything up and continued with the sync, and now have duplicates of all my contacts and SOME of my calendar entries. Please help! Thanks.

Help has arrived, TammyMB. I know it's hard to fish through duplicate contacts. It sounds as if your information may have come from more than one place though. When the contacts or calendar entries come from multiple sources, such as Backup Assistant, Gmail, or sync software like Kies, the phone separates each of those sources thinking each entry is different. The best way to avoid duplicates on your phone is to sync your information from only one source. If you log into the Gmail email address associated with your phone, do you see your contacts and calendar entries there? If you log into your mobile number at www.vzw.com/backupassistant, do you also see your information there?



With your information backed up in so many places, the best option would be to complete a master reset http://vz.to/LfV00q and then chose only one of the options to sync your information. While logging into your phone for the first time after the reset, you'll be presented with the options of Gmail to sync your contacts and calendar, or Backup Assistant too.
