Skype for Blackberry - can it be used overseas?

Hi, I have Skype installed on my Storm 2, and it works great.

I'm going to be travelling internationally soon, and I have an unlimited international data plan on my phone. Can I therefore use Skype to call home without it charging me for the minutes? I spoke with someone at VZW who claimed that Skype won't work overseas, but then I have seen other posts with people saying that it does work.

Anyone know for sure?

Currently, you can not use Skype overseas to call back to the US.

This is wrong information. Bosslady is referencing the Skype program, which is different from Skype Mobile app.

Can I use Skype mobile on my Verizon Wireless phone when I'm traveling internationally?

Skype mobile can only be used on Verizon Wireless’ Nationwide and Extended Nationwide and Rate and Coverage Area in the U.S.

I believe Doc is correct, that Skype Mobile can not be used overseas. Also, the current version does not use WiFi. This is an odd limitation, because if it did, it might be viable overseas. Too bad.
