I followed the instructions re tapping the gmail app and then hit settings and then tap Signature. When I go to settings there is no line that says 'Signature'.
Thoughts?
When I use an android phone I click on my account@gmail.com name, then I click Signature. A small box pops up and allows me to make one and then click ok.
You must be using the stand alone GMail app, not the stock email app on your device. You can download your app from the google play store after it is installed open the app with your login name and password then click the little wheel for settings, click on the section that shows your email address, then click signature and you should see a box pop up to make one. After you are done click ok and you are all set.
Good Luck
Tap the gmail app
Tap the menu button
Tap Settings
Tap your gmail account name
Tap Signature
You should get a pop-up where you can enter your signature
Press OK
Thanks. Problem solved.

Thanks for everything!
The signature block now appears on all my outgoing Gmails.
