After the Android 4.3 OS Update, my phone started having severe problems. The Phone App 80% of the time doesn't work (power on/off doesn't work). It will open up the App but will not let me press any numbers or change "tabs" and it locks up the phone. Sometimes it will say "Contacts has failed" and sometimes I have to just kill the app. Phone App does not work even after this.
Additionally, if you go to "Contacts" it won't load any contacts, and says "updating contacts" with a spinning updating circle. This stays like this and does not change, and eventually I get the same error message with the contacts being failed again.
This has now started to effect my text messaging (can't send a message because it can't find the contact). Doesn't matter if it's through the messaging app, or through hangouts. I've even tried downloading contacts plus, but it also freezes because it works directly with the "contacts" app, and eventually that crashes and again it says "contacts has failed". This issue is very frustrating and has essentially made my phone only a device that I can use to browse the internet.
Many other forums suggest hard resets, which do not work. What does verizon suggest?
