Every time a send an email from my SIII, I get a delivery failure. I delted the account and restored it back, still broke. Any ideas
What kind of email account? Hotmail, Yahoo, AOL, Time Warner, etc. Help us help you.
I'm having the same exact issue right now. It's a yahoo account that was sync'd just fine for the past year. No issues at all. Then, I starting having problems this week. Now, when I try to send an outgoing mail (incoming e-mails still work just fine) I get the Delivery Status Notification Failure message from webspher@vacpicssmp01.myvzw.com in my SENT folder. I also have the S3. Any ideas/tips/etc.?!? Thanks!
Yahoo like to be fickle with android. Others have ended up using the Yahoo app.
Weird. It was working just fine for a long time. Some random update for something happened and broke it I'm sure. Ahhh technology. Thanks for your reply.
Gmail and my two Go Daddy accounts, I have had the phone for over a year no problems, the phones setup has not changed I can no longer reply to or send emails. I can recieve e-mail from all accounts at least I think I can I haven't verifyed that yet.
I'm having the exact same problem and it's not a Yahoo account, it's gmail and go daddy.
What's odd is that the Google (gmail) account works just fine sending and receiving for me. But, I have a Yahoo business account so the gmail account I set up is useless. I've been in business way to long to think about switching because I got a new phone.
Try setting your Yahoo e-mail account up as an 'other' account rather than Yahoo, or use the Yahoo app from the Play Store, as suggested earlier.
I have resolved my send failure, I had three e-mail accounts set-up under the "Other" program, two godaddy, one gmail. They have worked fine for 8+ months just like they are setup now. Everyone wanted me to change their setup,but I have refused to do so. One tech/Verizon suggested that I needed to use the Gmail account with the Gmail program. I thought about it and have NEVER even opened it on my phone, I also thought they have just implemented a new Gmail program. I opened the Gmail program and went through the startup, necessary answering Yes to this is how the new program works, clicked on an email that was already setup in the program, one I had deleted week or more ago (about the time my send and reply started failing) and all my emails have started working again. I can send and reply to emails and I changed nothing in the setup of the way my phone is configured. Instantly everything worked. Think it might be something to the NEW GMAIL program!!! well it seems to be on my Samsung G3.
The Gmail app has been on Android phones from almost the beginning and as worked as Google's preferred method for receiving that email on these devices.
I realize that, but Google just changed the program, and rolled out their new Google + and when I went into the program it is significantly different, recently changed in web mail too. I have never used it on my phone before opening it for the first time the other day and after going through the setup all my email accounts worked fine again. I think that’s too much of a coincidence, especially since I didn’t change anything. And now it works fine again.
