Switched Phones

My HTC thunderbolt broke so I switched the number to my brother's old phone.

It is the exact same phone, an HTC Thunderbolt and I am receiving texts so they switched it over properly but I am trying to get my contacts on the new phone but I cannot find the Backup Assistant app anywhere on my phone. Is there any other way I can move my contacts over?

Was Backup Assistant disabled? If you can access your old phone try exporting the contacts to the SD card. The file generated can be imported into the new phone. Also you can check to see if your contacts are saved to Google and can be synced to the phone.
