Hello everyone,
About a month ago, I purchased S4 phone with the two-year contract and got really excited.
However, since day 1, I have started to see problems the phone had, which was eventually deemed defective.
Being a college student, this time was finals week, so I was not able to visit the Verizon store.
Afterwards, I visited them, and the store verified that the phone is indeed defective and ordered a new S4 through warranty.
It arrived home last Friday.
Here is the problem though. It said I need to ship the product within 5 days, or I may be charged more than $500.
I got the phone in the evening of Friday. When they say 5 days, I am thinking 5 business days, so I was not really stressed. Also, the postage for the return is already paid for. So yesterday, I dropped the box off at a local post office and just now I checked delivery status and now I am really worried. It said the estimate delivery time is on 07/04/2013 which is more than 5 business days later. At the same time, this is not my fault because it was Verizon that paid for the postage.
I am wondering if anyone went through similar process.
If so, will I be indeed charged fine or will Verizon understand my current dilemma?
Thank you everyone!
