Picture/MMS messages stall out and won't send

For the last few weeks, I've been having a problem sending picture messages. I hit "send" and the circle just spins and spins and spins and the message does not go through. I've had the GS3 for eight months and haven't had this problem until the last month or so. VZW requires using their mobile data to send/receive picture messages rather than just using wi-fi, so it's getting increasingly frustrating that this keeps happening when I'm PAYING FOR DATA. I see there are several other threads going back a year of people having the same problem -- what is the fix to this, Verizon?!?!

Hi.  I had this problem too, and the only solution that worked for me was going to the Play store and downloading Go SMS.  The app description stated it could send over wi-fi, and sure enough, it does.  I actually find I like it much better than the stock messaging app anyway, and it's easy to use.  This should fix your problem and you might find you like it better too.
