Samsung S III call dropping issues

I have had my Samsung since January of 2013 and I hate this phone. I can't make a call in my apartment without the call dropping or the phone cutting in and out. I know it is the phone and not the service because my wife as the iPhone 5 and I can be in the same spot and make a call just fine. I have been in to see someone a few times and they have changed the settings a few times and said it should be fixed but it never works. One guy suggested changing the SIM card for $10 but why should I have to pay for this crappy phone that I am now stuck with for another year. Anyone have any other suggestions?

Let's see what's causing the problem! When did the issue begin? Have you recently downloaded any new applications? Do you only experience the issue indoors? Are your data services working properly?
