Can someone tell me why google play music that has been downloaded wont play on the music player?
Or is there a way to get it to transfer? Any help would be appreciated

Are you connected to the internet/wifi? Since the internet is required to play google play music (unless you pin it, which basically downloads the music to your device) you should check that. Also here is a link for google support on your question.

If you are able, try playing music on another device, or pc. If it plays on them, then there might be an issue with your wifi? Do you have connection issues with anything else?
