I bought my Samsung Galaxy S4 & upgraded the contract for 2 more years three weeks ago to the day & yesterday I took it out of my pocket & the whole LCD screen was cracked. I mind you that yes, I had a screen protector & a defender case. The phone is not functional at all. I am upset at the fact that they want to charge me another $100 for insurance when I spent around $300 with them less than a month ago on a brand new phone & upgrading fees. I see this as a manufacturer error rather than operator error considering I've done nothing for the phone to be damaged. I haven't even dropped the phone. I have never made an insurance claim until now. If I would have known that Verizon doesn't stand behind the products they sell 100% I would have never purchased the phone or upgraded the contract. I'm very displeased with the service I was provided & will not be upgrading my next contract. Verizon should learn to value their customers.
