cannot backup contacts wretched customer servc

i have been trying for days now to backup my contacts after the customer service rep suggested i factory reset my phone to fix a problem that was causing my phone to freeze and render my play store inaccessible. I have tried backing up the device only to get "Backup Assistant Plus has lost network connection(36). Please try again." I have gone to the store and they sent me away without actually fixing the issue. I have called. I use this device for my business and find it ridiculous that they can't backup my contacts without me having to enter 1,100 contacts + their multiple #'s one by one!!!!!!!!!!

Are the contacts synced with Google or just the phone? If they are synced with Google, you don't need to worry about using Backup Assistant.

Another option is to open the People app and press the menu button, select "import/export". From the next dialog choose "export to USB storage". The contacts will be saved to the phone's internal memory. You can then use the phone's "My Files" application to locate the resulting VCF file under the "All Files" area and then share it to your email address.

disgruntledcust, thanks for trying. Are you able to access your contacts online at the Backup Assistant website? It's important that you verify that your contacts are not in the trash folder. - You'll need to send a Follow request (located in the upper right-hand corner of their profile page) to that they'll have to approve. They likewise will need to send you a Follow request that you'll have to approve (you can check for any by clicking the Actions button at the top of the page, the red button that looks like a check mark). Once you both are Following each other, then you can send them a Direct Message.
