My Droid MINI notification sound does not work on my car radio? How do I make it work.

My notification sound does not work when the phone and auto are paired,notifying me they are connected. I have a 2013 GMC Acadia with the intililink radio system. It used to work but after a phone update the sound nowdoes not work.
