Gerhardt,
Please don't take this the wrong way. I have helped three different folks that were absolutely sure that their phone would not connect with their car and in all three occasions, it has been the procedure, not the phone. I have not had to troubleshoot on a Chevy yet, but I can only assume it is the same. In all three occasions, the people had their old phone paired with their car. In each of these cases, in order to get their new phone to pair, we had to take out the owner's manual for the car and follow the procedure for either connecting a different device or the initial set up. If you have already tried this, please disregard this post.

It did work (reading the owner's manual). Thank you for your assistance.I forgot about pairing/initial setup of pairing device with car audio system. maybe others can benefit from this discussion. Now excuse me while I wipe the egg off my face.
No need for egg!! That's what most of us show up here for, to help others when we can. Its really funny how skewed our memories can get after not doing something for a while. I remember pairing my old phone to my car's BT and being so proud of how easily it went. A year later, after not having to mess with it for a while, several of those steps required to pair a new device had removed themselves from my memory. Reading the manual can sometimes be humbling!!
Glad I could help and that its working again,
