Echo

Has anyone figured out how to get rid of the echo problem on the Galaxy S5? I never hear the echo but the people on the other end do. Its not bothersome to me but to the other people it is very annoying. Can anyone help? I don't want to return the phone again. It would be my third one. I tried removing the noise reduction but that made no difference. Please Help!

Do you have a case on your phone? If so, what kind? As is I currently the LIFEPROOF case and have the same problem. I tried different things one being that I took the case off and they said they could hear me completely fine. I'm looking at getting a different case now because of this.

Sorry for the delay! I have removed my LIFEPROOF case and have no complaints about an echo from anyone. Before I removed the case I was getting complaints from family, friends, and even customer support techs - definitely an annoyance. Since I removed it I've had no problems with the issue and my speakers even sound clearer to me.

My problem did not come from a case but from a lemon of a phone. Sent mine off to Samsung where it was "repaired" and returned with the echo on the other end still intact. Then in desperation I went to a nearby Verizon store - which I've avoided based on past bad experiences - and found a helpful and customer oriented manager and staff. They tried several fixes but then concluded, as I had that the phone didn't work. They replaced my phone and now I'm a happy camper with an echoless phone and a newfound respect for Verizon customer service.

I would love to hear the answer as well. It is really annoying and aggravating for such a nice piece of equipment.

I fixed two problems at once the ECHO and LOW VOLUME on the phone app. It was weird because Pandora worked just fine and had lots of volume. So I did a hard restart by pulling the battery for a minute or two and rebooted. Problem is now gone. However lets see for how long. Hope it works for you.

Hey Samsung and Verizon can you fix this without needing to pull the battery?
