Do picture messages count as data or do they count against my texting plan?

hi question,

I am not the account owner

we are on the MORE Plan ( 3 smart and my basic phone)

12 gigs of data

I have a Samsung Convoy 2.

My question... Does picture msgs go towards DATA or MMS texting plan?

For some reason I noticed my data use has went from 0.01 to 0.03 now.

Hi CMAR606,

Glad you asked. You are on a great plan. Picture messages do go towards your text package. So in this case, you would not be charged data. Have you opened up Media Center on your phone lately? This will incur data. Since you are on a 12GB plan, there would be no additional charge; the 0.03 MB would be deducted from the data bucket. Keep us posted.

Hi bobby,

I think I might of when I first got it out of the box... OOPS! thats why I am at 0.03 so just to make sure were on the same page, pic and txt only go towards unlimited text not data?

You betcha! Picture messaging counts toward your texting package and only requires a data connection to transmit.
