Pics in galaxy partially disappearing

I have had my galaxy s4 since october and no issues. Lately once I take a picture it can partially disappear and turn gray. Not all the time but most of the time and its getting more frequent. I have no idea what kind of media card I have. It was the same one from my last samsung stratosphere. Do you think that could be the problem?

Let's get you taking those wonderful pictures again. I appreciate the examples that you have provided. When did this start occuring? Does it happen in any specific instances? Are you using the stock camera application or a 3rd party application? Try removing and reinserting the SD card,http://vz.to/1fAsNkL. Please try a soft reset,http://vz.to/1dGHbHe and test again.

Thank you for your reply. I hope its ok to respond by email, I couldn't figure out how to reply in my original question. This has been happening randomly for about a month. I think I have figured out it has something to do with the sd card. I am using the stock camera app which defaults to the sd card. If I take a picture and then move it to one of my folders on the device I haven't lost a picture, that I remember. If I move it to a folder on the sd card then it sometimes partially disappears, but not always. The card is 4 gig and has about 2 left. I tried reinserting the card and took a picture, so far it hasn't disappeared. I will probably have to come into the store and have someone help me but right now I'm out of town on vacation. I'm wondering if there's any way to get the lost pics back. Also is there a way to remove pics from the sd card? I'm using google drive to back them up but not sure how to access from there. My pictures are in gallery. There's another app called pictures. Is that just a backup of the gallery? All this technology is sometime baffling.

Thanks for the clarification Jules-bobo! We can save you the trip, we want to do everything we can to help restore the deleted pictures and ensure your images are protected moving forward! You can also try to access the deleted pictures backed up to Google Drive by visiting http://bit.ly/1nnAail Lastly, there is normally not a separate app called Pictures by default. Is this perhaps an app that you downloaded?
