Unfortunately email has stopped

When I get a notification for email and go to check, I get the error "Unfortunately email has stopped". Now if I close this error message I can go right back and open email without issue. It started yesterday, I JUST got this new phone last week. I have tried uninstalling the email account, clearing this and that.

I also get a random "unfortunately touchwiz has stopped" as well... I am beyond frustrated!!!!!

Hmmm sounds like a little corruption somewhere, When you say clearing this and that can you elaborate. Is it the GMAIL or EMAIL app. Have you tried (Based on above) going into applications and clearing the data on the Offending Application(s)? If you have done what I questioned and what you say you have done you may need to do the dreaded hard reset which is found under the Settings, Backup and  option under Personal.
