Who has issues with Overheating, decreased battery life, spotty 4G etc since the KITKAT update?

I have even done the factory reset but problems continue.My S4 is only 3 months old. I was so happy with my phone. I want it to go back to pre-KitKat.

My phone is always popping up the overheating warning. It gets so hot it won't stay stuck to the car stand.

I have already done all of that. Including the reset none of it helped.

There are significant issues I also see from these I'm not the only one. I tried sending texts and nothing happened. Listen to MLB constant interruption. Tune in radio cuts in a different out. Wifi is unstable. I had 0 problems before the update.

I have VERY poor 4G service now after the Kitkat update. I've reset it, restarted it, replaced the SIM at the store, wiped the cache, etc etc. Still very poor service now, and often drops data altogether or drops to 3G, I have to put it in airplane mode and back to restore service. Also, i notice that the notification bar signal meter is very off, compared to other indicators like the Phone Testing screen data, or third party apps which show similar information. This is just not good.

I want to ensure you're device is running in top notch condition! In regards to the overheating message are you using the factory provided charger? Is the voltage / amperage provided on the charger? Do you have any other charger products? ( ie, vehicle charger ) Does the issue or message appear typical occur after using a charging product.

Do you find yourself loving connection with data and text service? Do the text message issues occur with a specific contact?

Thanks but I have already been through all the steps.... and it doesn't fix

it. I spent 3 days on the phone with support. However I do want

acknowledgement the software needs fixing. My phone is only 3 months old.

See my thread in the community. We have 40 GS4s and they all are experiencing the same issues you describe. The update destroyed the phones. However, you can't get anyone to admit that the update is the problem. It is widespread and annoying. If someone would just admit the update if flawed and say they are working on it I think we would all feel a little better about it. However, you get the same lame troubleshooting steps that end with hard reset. It has been done, it does not work, stop reading from your canned troubleshooting script and elevate the problem.

My son-in-law on another carrier is having all the same problems. My

husband doesn't multi-task as much but tried WAZE to navigate and had all

the same problems. Today mine just turned off and rebooted twice. Very

irritating. However the Verizon rep my husband talked to said there was an

issue with the update!

Amen Phaley504, at a certain point Verizon needs to do better than to say "rinse, repeat" when the clothes have permanent stains. Time to acknowledge that the update was flawed and they are working to fix.
