Kit Kat Questions - Galaxy S4

My Galaxy S4 has updated to Android Kit Kat 4.4.2. I am confused as to why I did not get all the new features of Android Kit Kat? For instance, why do I not have the new email app, the "Google Now" Launcher, the updated dialer app, etc?

Why does Verizon suppress all the great new features of Kit Kat?

Whats changed? The look and feel of Verizon's version of 4.4.2 looks no different then 4.3 except for the ability to use the Google Camera app.
