S3 won't hold a charge

Since yesterday 3/19 my s3 won't hold its charge anymore. This phone has not been dropped or anything. I noticed a day or two ago that after being plugged in almost all day it was only charged like 68%. I charged it overnight and this morning it said that it was charged 100%. I did not have the phone on while charging overnight. I got to work, turned on the phone and within about 8 minutes it beeped saying the battery was low.

Is there some update that happened that is doing this? I don't use a lot of apps - I just want my phone and texting but I can't even do that without lugging my charger around.

Any help or insight would be greatly appreciated. Thanks --

Sounds like your battery has failed. Time to visit the store for a new one. Amazon.com has plenty to choose from, if your local Verizon store cannot help.

Thanks - I guess so. Spent 40 mins on phone last night w/ Verizon. And my local Verizon store can't help, because apparently Verizon thinks its ok to stop making/selling/supporting the products they sell. I've had this expensive phone less than two years - and already Verizon has abandoned me and other S3 users by not selling the batteries for them anymore.

I will be filing a complaint about Verizon - and its not my first one with this phone. US Cellular gave their customers at least a new phone with the total recall of S3s. Not Verizon though -- no -- they just tried to sell me a damn Iphone while I was having my phone trouble shooted last night.

I don't know when big business is ever going to care about its customers.. I guess never.
