I want to be able to send a text message and the left over characters be sent in a second message if there are more than 160 characters.. how do i set my blackberry to do that?

You can not send more than 160 characters. There is no setting on Verizon Wireless to automatically make another SMS message for extra characters in a message. There are a few 3rd party apps that do that. Do a search or go to Blackberry App World and take a look.
