No spam option

Trying to block SMS messages but apps aren't blocking with Samsung Messenger. Searches show that the messenger is supposed to have an option for Spam, however i do not see this under settings. Is there something i need to do to turn this on?

I would like to not use another messenger service. Looking for ways to Block using the Spam options in Samsung messenger that i dont appear to have, or an App that works on blocking Samsung messenger SMS.

Was this removed by Verizon? or is there an update or activation needed?

We do not want you to have to worry about receiving text from numbers that you do not want. I am sorry as the settings options per the image provided is not available on the device. You can block individual numbers via the device or online via My Verizon though.
