The fingerprint sensor on my S5 was working for the first 7 days and then suddenly stopped working. Now if I go into the "Fingerprint manager" it says "No registered fingerprints" and then it says "Attention: An error has occurred with the fingerprint sensor. If this message appears repeatedly, restart your device." Multiple restarting of the device has no effect.
Also going into the "Lock screen" settings and select "Screen lock" and then "Fingerprint" I get the same error message. I can change to other screen lock options, but if I try to reactivate the Fingerprint sensor I get the same error message. Other users online have received this error, and it seems that some (but not all) have cleared it with a hard factory reset. Any help or insight would be greatly appreciated.
