The update for Windows Phone 8.1 was released in April. What takes Verizon so damn long to push this software to phones. My HTC 8X has been waiting for the 8.1 update for months now and there has been now word. In reaction from VZW and WP I get the following:

This is unacceptable. It has been almost 3 damn months. IPhone users don't wait such an amazing amount of time for updates. At this point I am about to open a BBB complaint on the amount of waiting other phone users that aren't iPhone users deal with simply because they aren't giving their money to Apple and VZW to keep software up to date.

WHEN IS WINDOWS PHONE 8.1 COMING OUT ON VERIZON TO WINDOWS PHONE 8 DEVICES INCLUDING (HTC 8X, ICONS, AND ALL OTHER VERIZON PHONES WITH WINDOWS PHONE 8)?
No double speak no nonsense. A straight answer. A date, progress on testing, you have to have someone in customer support this knowledge of status. If there is no direct answer to this question I am opening a BBB complaint, cancelling my service, and directing all the other people I support and am in contact with away from Verizon due to the fact that VZW is not maintaining updated patch information, knowledgeable information on their devices, fair attention to all devices, and unbelievably unintelligible customer service.
