How can I get the lock screen to stop lighting up when I get a text message?

I just got the s5 and my screen keeps lighting up every time I get a text. I really just want it to vibrate or make a noise. Is there anyway to stop this feature?

Congrats on your new, awesome phone! You're asking a great question here. Turning on/off the Screen Lighting option is currently not an option that is available in the phone settings.
