Just did the Kit Kat upgrade on my Galaxy S3 and the NFC that I use to transfer pictures from my camera no longer works. I checked to make sure it was enabled on the phone and camera.
In NFC, is there pairing like there is in Bluetooth? Maybe you could delete the pairing of the devices and start over.
If not, try toggling Airplane mode.
