Droid freezing up several times a day

Both my husband's phone and mine are constantly freezing up lately.  The bottom three navigation fields do not work.  Is this a system update issue? 

This is extremely annoying to have to reboot every time.  Is anyone else experiencing this all of a sudden?  What can we do?

Let's explore options to resolve these issues cree_24! Did these freezing and bottom navigation issues start after a software update? If so, please do an automatic restore as per this link http://vz.to/TN7IiE and make sure UNCHECK boxes at steps 4 and 5 to clear any potential system conflicts between previous software and new software and test.
