Emoticons? Web Page Font Changes? Help!

I updated my phone this morning and one of the features is that emojis are now pre-installed in the Samsung keyboard.

Apparently, after a 2 second hold on the period button they are supposed to pop up.

Mine does not do that, I still get the same old smiley face options when holding down the period button.

Has anyone else had this problem and figured out how to access them?

Also before my update, my web browser had the same font as my phone - now its back to basic arial font. Any idea how to change that back?

Press and hold for 2 seconds the microphone graphic on the bttom left of the keyboard.

I would like the answer to this question as well. I have no idea how to access/enable the emojis.
