I have been doing a lot or research. but right now I don't want that high priced data plan so if there anyway to shut the data off and just use wifi?
If you want to use the phone to make calls, and text, you need to have it activated (connected) to the cellular network with a data plan. You CAN use it with wifi only when disconnected from the cellular network, but only for browsing - not for calls and texting.
