The weather on my lockscreen doesnt update.

I have the S5 and the weather on the lockscreen never updates. I have tried everything. Brought it back to the store, was there for 1 1/2 hours, we ended up resetting the phone to factory settings. It worked for 1 day.

Again the weather doesnt update. I take out the battery and the weather disappears and will show up a day or so later, but the weather for some reason is stuck at 91.

Tap the anywhere on the picture a new screen appears with update and forecast, return to home and it is udated. Now in the picture on the Home screen on my in the very bottom very righ corner is a little circle with sorta like a arrow. tap on it and it will udate temp and the picture to show current weather. This little arrow is very sensitive to the taps location but I can usually get it to work, Otherwise use the first method.

We want you to be able to keep up to date on the latest weather information. Is the application you are using for weather the factory installed weather widget or a 3rd party download? Is your GPS on on your device so the weather application can detect your current location?

which wx program are you using, i use intellicast.

I don't believe that works with the lockscreen, which is the issue at hand.

The weather app on my homescreen is yahoo. I have no idea what app is on the lockscreen.

The GPS is on.

The lockscreen and the homescreen are two different apps.

I have yahoo weather for my homescreen and it works fine..The app on the lockscreen is different from the homescreen.

Thanks for confirming DoreenAllan. What weather app are you using on your lock screen? Have you tested a different weather app? In most cases the app is designed to work once you unlock the device and open the main screen.

I have a question, is the weather app on the lockscreen different from the homescreen, I was told it was.

I was also told that the weather on the lockscreen is built into the phone, and cannot be changed. I know how to change the homescreen weather but not the lockscreen.

Is the weather on the lockscreen an internal app that cannot be changed?
