VerizonWifi Access

I've been trying to connect my S4 to a VerizonWiFi hot spot at a nearby stadium, and I keep getting this error that I could not be identified as a Verizon customer. Does anyone know what I need to get it to verify my device and allow it to connect? I've tried logging in to the My Verizon App, the error says to use some WiFi access zone app, but the S4 is not supported, and the app maker doesn't seem to answer the support email listed on the play store. Maybe there's a file or something that I just need to set up a symbolic link to, or at least that's what I hope is it.

The access might be restricted to customers of the Verizon landline business and not the Verizon Wireless customers.

It's possible...but we're a long way from where Verizon has their land line service, so it wouldn't make a whole lot of sense for them to do that.

This may be a stretch since I don't have Verizon FiOS but I believe the Verizon WiFi hotspots are for their FiOS customers.

I know on Road Runner there are 200,000 free WiFi hot spots. But I will be plucked if I can ever access them.

When I had Verizon high speed internet previously there was an app by Verizon that found and connected to the free hotspots.

But I cannot say for certain if wireless is part of the service on free WiFi.

Verizon Wireless does support free Wi-Fi at some stadiums aound the country. The S4 does support this authentication, and it is native to the phone (meaning the authentication software is within the device software) so you will not need to download the Access Zone App (which is blocked on the S4 because of the native software.
